Coatimundi is an AZ-based improvised somatic flow generator. Much like its namesake, the band is hard to pin down – wild, unpredictable and unlike anything else you’ll stumble across in the Valley. Coatimundi thrives on improvisation. There’s no rigid setlist, no predictable formula. It's a mix of jazz, funk, classical and experimental. They build something that feels alive in the moment, which is impossible to fake and even harder to forget.
We will be engaging in ecstatic dance, which is a free-form, sober, and non-judgmental movement practice where participants dance intuitively. It's a meditative journey of self-expression and emotional release. Please no phones/photos or talking within the dance space.
Event Details:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Gate opens at 6pm. Music will start 6:45pm, so please arrive by 6:30 to get grounded and be a part of the container for the dance. If you arrive late, gate will be closed, but please come on in, and enter quietly to respect the dance space.

PARTICIPATION: Any volunteers to help set up and clean up are appreciated! Additionally, if you would like to be part of the "garden team" to keep the grounds looking beautiful on a regular basis, please contact Water.
ENVIRONMENT: This is an outdoor space! The ground is uneven and there are wood chips/mulch. Wear good shoes. Dress for the weather. We will have cushions to sit around the fire in the Portal of Consciousness (a concrete conversation pit dug into the earth). The first step is deep and there are no handrails. If you need help going up and down, please ask. If you have an unsteady gait, or have any other difficulty, please sit on the benches on the outside of the pit instead and do not attempt to go into the pit by yourself. We have a fire pit for the winter and in the hot summer months, there is an option to jump in the pool if you would like to do that. Please bring a swimsuit and a towel. Please refrain from wearing oil-base sunscreen or other products prior to using the pool. We also do our best to mitigate mosquitos, but DIY natural based spray is available if needed. The pool and pond are unfenced. This may not be a good event to bring young children to. Please check with host. Please leave your animals at home. This is a smoke free, meat free, and sober space.
